The Value of These Projects
I use my personal projects as a method of cultivating a sense of wonder for engineering and what that entails. I enjoy the simple act of innovation and design, not just as a means for a future career, but as a lifestyle and state of mind.
I believe there is an intrinsic good in the ability to create and in turn, communicate. A lot of what defines engineering is the ability for one to easily communicate complicated and unique ideas, whether that be verbally or through visual representations like CAD, so I find it integral to the process to familiarize myself with as much as I can.
