I joined the Longhorn Racing team in the first half of fall 2020. In particular, I joined the Longhorn Racing Solar team, where we are building a car that runs entirely on solar power.

I joined the frame subteam, where I am working to create a sturdy, safe, and weight-efficient skeleton for the car. We have a lot of weight on our shoulders, as we determine where the cutoff lies between a vehicle that will move quickly and win races versus a car that will keep the driver safe and sound. But even then, being on the team is a blast.
I am incredibly proud to say that I am a part of Longhorn Racing. The act of building a car alone is super cool, let alone one that is literally powered by the sun. We do incredibly innovative work and have fun while doing it. I can’t think of a better mix than that.
